We are sorry to share the news that Elice D. Pieropan passed away on September 14th, 2013. Elice "Mimi" founded 11 South Gallery in the fall of 1998. For many years prior and until ill health deprived her of the ability to do so. Mimi devoted herself to the enthusiastic pursuit of creating paintings and sharing her skills, vision and passion with others. We will miss her.
"My art and the making of it are in turn my dis-ease and my remedy, offering companionship and meditation, what makes me feel whole. I am inspired by nature and shapes man-made. My painting is described as colorful, expressive and spontaneous. Painting for me is a mystical and spiritual experience. My goal is to respond as honestly as I can to the inspiration, and hopefully communicate some of my experience."
